In a recent post, popular Nigerian singer Yemi Alade denied being compared to her colleague, Tiwa Savage.
Alade had expressed her enthusiasm about performing at the opening ceremony of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast when a fan said she was better than Tiwa Savage.
Unimpressed by the comparison, Alade encouraged fans to enjoy and support both artists, underscoring their accomplishments. She claimed that comparisons simply serve to deplete one’s delight.

The fan’s comment read, “U better than Tiwa [Savage].”
Alade responded, “Comparison is the thief of joy. We’re both winning…. celebrate and support us all.”
