After signing a three-year contract with Lyon, France striker Alexandre Lacazette has completed his emotional return to the club.

Lacazette, who joined Lyon as a starry-eyed 12-year-old in 2003, has a special place in his heart for the club.

Lacazette joined Arsenal for £53 million in 2017, but he left after five years due to a contract dispute, allowing him to return to Lyon on a free transfer.

Lacazette has only played for one other club in his professional career, Lyon, and has been training with them since electing not to renew his Arsenal contract.

Lacazette came into the locker room to put on the shirt again before stepping out onto the Groupama Stadium pitch, according to a 71-second video posted on Twitter by Lyon on Thursday.

With 129 goals in 275 games, Lacazette is Lyon’s all-time leading scorer.

His collaborations include Fleury Di Nallo, Bernard Lacombe, and Serge Chi.
