“Years later it became a hit”- Tunde Ednut shares old video of Asake performing ‘Joha’ in school, fans react
Tunde Ednut, a well-known blogger and social media influencer, released a flashback video of Ahmed Olalade Asake, a rising music sensation, performing “Joha” back when he was an undergraduate.
In the video, Asake and his group can be seen dancing on the stage of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) to an older rendition of “Joha.”
According to Ednut, he performed “Joha” for the first time at that point. A few years later, he made a small change, and the song is now a smash all over the world.
In the video’s captions, he wrote:
“Asake Throwback when he first did JoHA… It only blew up in his University. Years after, he became a mega superstar and he decided to redo the song and it became a global hit. GRACE!!!”
