Nnamdi Kanu, the head of IPOB, is represented by Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who claims that the federal government is not yet prepared to bring charges against his client.

According to Ejiofor, the Federal Government is using a variety of techniques to hold Kanu in custody indefinitely.

He based his assertion on the fact that since the IPOB leader was brought before a court in 2015, the Federal Government had modified the treasonable felony accusations against him seven times.

“FG is not prepared to consider this case; they are not even prepared to prosecute Nnamdi Kanu. Applying every strategy at their disposal, they aim to keep Nnamdi Kanu imprisoned forever. They are acting in this manner.

“I have handled many cases; you will be informed when an attorney is deposed for an expeditious hearing of the matter.

How are you able to inform me that a charge has undergone seven amendments since 2015?

Ejiofor stated on Thursday that the court would continue to dismiss part of the charges since “the last one they altered made it seven times they amended their charge, either lessening or raising.”
