When it comes to international exposure, TeeBillz has been chastised for claiming that Don Jazzy made Afrobeats a global pride.
TeeBillz, the ex-husband of famous female artist Tiwa Savage, has provoked outrage on social media for attributing Afrobeats success to his colleague Don Jazzy.
TeeBillz claimed that without Don Jazzy, Afrobeats would not be a global pride, as he recounts how he and Don Jazzy discussed Afrobeats and how it eventually came to reality in a throwback photo on his Instagram page.
He wrote: Without that guy next to me, Afrobeats won’t be a global pride…we spoke about it and it came to life! Afroabeats Don! Blessing my G.
The statement did not sit well with many Nigerians who slammed TeeBillz for being talkative and spewing rubbish about the music industry.
Some netizens opined that Don Jazzy had contributed immensely to the entertainment industry; however, Nigerian legendary singer 2face should be given credit when it comes to international exposure.
