Wendy Shay was born on February 20, 1996, to Mr. and Mrs. Addo in Accra, the cosmopolitan metropolis of Ghana’s Greater Accra Region. Her father’s demise when she was only four years old, however, left a painful memory in her early years. However, this tragedy ignited a fire within of her that fueled her passion for music and set her on a course that would ultimately lead to tremendous success.

Wendy Shay moved to Stuttgart, Germany with her family in tow, where she finished her education through grade 7 (JHS 1). She carefully pursued her skill at a renowned music school in Bernhausen, Germany, but her passion for music never wavered. She learned the abilities she would need to become a celebrity in her own right here.

Wendy Shay always kept her roots in mind as she traveled through life; prior to starting her experiences in Germany, she attended both Morning Star School and St. Martin de Porres in Accra. She has reached the top of the music industry thanks to a special combination of skill, willpower, and heart, inspiring countless people in the process.

Wendy Shay is a registered nurse who previously practiced as a licensed midwife. Before relocating to Ghana to pursue her artistic aspirations, she worked as a midwife. She was introduced to music by Rufftown Records Manager Bullet, and after the untimely passing of Ebony Reigns, a label colleague, she signed in January 2018.
