“Wema Bank Has Finally Touched Down From Lagos,” writes Davido as Wema Bank officials pay him a visit in Dubai.
Sensational Nigerian musician David Adeleke, better known as Davido, who is now in Dubai, has spoken with Wema Bank executives from Lagos about his N100 million challenge, which generated about N185 million in two days.
The visit comes just two days after the musician stated on his verified Twitter account that Wema Bank, the bank with which he set up the contribution account, wanted to meet with him.
Davido tweeted on Wednesday, “Wema wanna have a meeting.”
However, as the fundraiser got heated, the bank hopped on the trend and made a post online with the inscription, “Na bank wey Davido dey use we go dey use now.”
On Friday night, however, the singer’s lawyer, Bobo Ajudua, shared pictures of Davido and Wema Bank officials with the caption, “Wema Bank finally touch down from Lagos. Ent law life will have you doing meetings at the wildest hours.”
The bank also reposted Ajudua and Davido’s post on their Instagram story.
