According to the military governor of the area, a Russian airstrike on the city of Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine on Wednesday morning resulted in at least three fatalities and five injuries.

Governor of the Mykolaiv region Vitaly Kim posted on Telegram, “The Russian occupiers carried out a missile attack on Mykolaiv.

He also mentioned that one missile had struck a tall structure.

Local officials urged people to stay in air raid shelters and refrain from posting images of the attacks’ devastation online.

In other areas of Eastern Ukraine, Russian forces were aiming to encircle the crucial city of Lysychansk in the Luhansk region.

The pro-Russian rebels claimed that battle had already started within the city, while the Ukrainian military said that Russian troops were on the city’s southern outskirts.

According to the general staff report, Russian strikes were occurring near the town of Bakhmut, west of Lysychansk.

Following an assault on the city of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine on Wednesday morning, two bodies were found.

Six missiles were reportedly fired at Dnipro on Tuesday in total, one of which struck a car repair shop, according to local media reports.
