A deal to expedite the deportation of offenders was agreed upon by the UK and Nigeria.

In accordance with the agreement, offenders will obtain new travel documents in five business days.

On Thursday, the UK deported 13 Nigerians, including eight foreign criminals and five visa overstayers.

The MoU with Nigeria was confirmed by Priti Patel, secretary of the interior.

The source stated that illegal immigration and the serious threat it poses to both countries would be addressed by the MoU on migration concerns.

According to Patel, the nations will pool their knowledge and join forces in the fight against those responsible for crimes and security lapses.

Patel continued, “This historic deal will accelerate the deportation of dangerous foreign criminals to make our streets and nation safer.”

Similar agreements were inked by the UK Home Office with Serbia, India, and Albania.
