Christian Pulisic, a winger for Chelsea, has acknowledged that his team’s Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Real Madrid won’t be simple.

After Chelsea won their past three games in a row prior to the Champions League draw with Real Madrid, Pulisic added that it is crazy how quickly things can change in football.

Real Madrid and Chelsea were paired together at Friday’s last-eight draws for the Champions League in Nyon.

The two-leg quarterfinals of the Champions League will be held on April 11–12 and April 18–19.

I’ll be honest: I would not want to face us in the Champions League, Pulisic said to ESPN.

“In terms of the previous time we won the Champions League, I believe we were in a similar scenario. We are having trouble in the league at this point in the season, and many people are writing us off. Consider what followed.

Has it been simple recently? No, but I am happy of the team’s resilience and the past week, which included three straight victories.

“I am now feeling really confident, and it’s amazing how quickly things can change in football—it only takes a snap of the finger.

Particularly in a team with many new players, you start to feel that confidence all of a sudden, and you start to get to know one another better. The team appears to be a risky opponent all of a sudden.

“Will it be straightforward? No. Will we face formidable opponents, fierce conflicts, and formidable teams on the way there? 100%, but we are prepared and eager to take on the challenge.
