Thierry Henry, a former player for Arsenal, praised Kai Havertz of Chelsea for his Champions League game-winning goal.
Henry remarked that Havertz reminds him of Robin van Persie, a former Arsenal striker.
In Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie, Havertz converted a penalty.
Henry also praised the German international’s teamwork against Dortmund while playing for Chelsea.
In an interview with CBS Sport, Henry stated, “He sometimes reminds me, a little, of Robin back to goal. Robin van Persie was really good with his left foot, the touch was usually beautiful, and he wanted to draw everyone along.
Because he can hold the ball well with his back to goal, he plays as a 9 instead of a winger or No. 10 like some other players.
