Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is alleged to have told the club’s new owner, Todd Boehly, that he wants to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Presnel Kimpembe in the summer transfer window.

Tuchel is hoping to add defensive reinforcements this summer to replace Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, who have both left the club.

Chelsea’s main goal was Jules Kounde, with recent speculations claiming that he had already agreed to personal terms, but the Blues had still to agree on a fee with Sevilla.

Tuchel has asked Boehly to dig into the transfer kitty and try to sign Kimpembe, who is regarded as one of the top players in the world, according to The Sun.

Tuchel’s departure from PSG 18 months ago devastated Kimpembe, who had worked with the German to help him win two Ligue 1 titles and reach the Champions League final.

Despite being one of the world’s wealthiest clubs, PSG will find it difficult to offload Kimpembe this summer.

PSG will not sell Kimpembe for any price, therefore Boehly will be unable to supply Tuchel with this transfer signing unless the Frenchman specifically requests it.
