Tonto Dikeh Talks About Her Relationship With Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State [Video]
In a recent interview, controversial actress Tonto Charity Dikeh, also known as Tonto Dikeh, revealed the nature of her relationship with Rivers State Governor Nyesome Wike.
The mother of one, who was recently nominated as Tonte Ibraye’s running mate for governor by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), made it clear that Wike has never encouraged her aspirations.
She clarified her relationship with Rivers State Governor Wike and the factors that went into Tonte Ibraye’s selection of her as his running mate for the ADC governorship.
She said that while being renowned might have played a role in her selection as his running buddy, it was by no means the only factor.
She continued by saying that Tonte Ibraye chose her because of her high level of commitment and enthusiasm, as well as the fact that she is the most suitable candidate for the position.
The actress added that she is not entering the workplace as a well-known person but rather as a patriotic Nigerian citizen.
He’s our number one citizen, she said when asked about her relationship with Wike. He does, in my opinion, know my father and my family personally. Some people would refer to him as my uncle, but I like to think of him as River State’s most valuable citizen.
When questioned about if Wike had backed her goals?
She responded, “No, he has never given me any kind of help in that regard, but that’s not an issue because it’s the people who know you who will overlook the fact that you can shine until other people give you the support you need to advance. It doesn’t bother me in any way. He simply is unaware of my abilities.
