Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is likely to receive £200 million from the club’s new owners this summer, with Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling on his want list.

The Premier League Board has approved Todd Boehly’s consortium’s takeover of the west London club, and the sale is anticipated to close soon, lifting the limitations that have been in place since Roman Abramovich was sanctioned.

Tuchel has emphasized to the club’s new owners the importance of striking fast and aggressively in the transfer market in order to cut the gap on the leaders, and Boehly is ready to support his manager.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea will spend over £200 million this summer, with some of that money coming from player sales.

While Tuchel’s main priority will be defense, the German coach is eager to bolster his attacking options and is eyeing a deal for City winger Sterling.

The England international has one year remaining on his contract at the Etihad and has already hinted that he may leave the club after being a peripheral figure in the first half of the season.

While Sterling was more prominent in the second half of the season, if he refuses to sign a new contract, City will attempt to cash in.
