Tinubu’s victory: Accept defeat – Obi, Atiku told not to waste their resources on legal tussle

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Peter Obi, a member of the Labour Party, have been counseled by an Ondo State senator to accept their defeat in the presidential election on February 25.

Ondo State House of Assembly member Olajide stated on Wednesday in Akure that while every Nigerian has the constitutional right to seek redress for an injury in court, it would be noble of the two of them to part ways.

“Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar should accept the election’s results.

“Going to court will be nothing more than a pointless academic exercise.

“Sen. Bola Tinubu won the election fair and square, and the results of the presidential election were a true reflection of Nigerians’ sincere votes,” he stated.

According to Olajide, Tinubu and Sen. Kashim Shettima were chosen by Nigerians as their top choices for the next administration.

The congressman also expressed his congratulations to the newly elected vice president and president for their valiant victories in the recently held presidential elections.

“The team has once again shown that they are tenacious warriors in our effort to create a just and egalitarian society.

Olajide remarked, “I have no doubt that you will ride on the wave of this triumph’s momentum to lead our homeland to grandeur and wealth.
