Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was congratulated by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on his victory in the party’s presidential primary.

With more than half of the votes cast, Tinubu has a commanding lead in the polls.

Akinwunmi Ambode, the former Lagos State Governor, is significantly ahead of Osinbajo and Rotimi Amaechi, the former Rivers State Governor.

Around 2,322 delegates came from all over Nigeria to elect the party’s flag bearer in Eagles Square.

After President Muhammadu Buhari returned to the stadium to shake hands with the Commander-in-Chief and his wife, Aisha, Tinubu walked to the podium.

Tinubu came to a halt as well, shaking Osinbajo’s hand and exchanging a few pleasantries.
