Kano State police have arrested three people for allegedly fabricating fake motor vehicle documents.

SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the command’s spokesman, confirmed the arrest in a statement to SOLOLOADED.

He stated that the arrest was part of a larger investigation into suspected motor vehicle theft, in which one Odinaka Godwin and two others were arrested in possession of nine (9) pairs of motor-vehicle number plates and a total of ten (10) motor vehicles.

Kiyawa stated that a careful investigation led to the arrest of 57-year-old Abdulra’uf Olalade and his accomplices, Abdullahi Suleman and Suleman Ibrahim.

The suspects admitted to specializing in the production of forged Motor Vehicle Documents.

He stated that a discreet investigation was underway and that suspects would be charged and prosecuted in court.

According to a Kano State Police spokesman, seven of the ten stolen vehicles have been returned to their rightful owners, while the remaining three have yet to be claimed.

Toyota Camry LE Motor Vehicle, Golden Color with Registration Number ADK-885AE, Ekiti, Toyota RAV4 Motor Vehicle, Black Color with Registration Number APP-35BP Lagos, and Toyota Camry LE Motor Vehicle, Ash Color without Registration Number were among them.

According to the command, anyone whose vehicle was stolen and found among the three should report to the PPRO office, Bompai Police Headquarters Kano, or call 08168629521 or 08105359575.
