Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has dissolved the State Petroleum Taskforce group.
He also ordered the now-defunct task force committee to hand over all government property, including identification cards, to the Office of the State Commissioner of Petroleum as soon as possible.
According to a news release given to journalists in Umuahia on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Chris Ezem, the committee was dissolved.

According to the release, “any members of the dissolved taskforce who violate these directives will be arrested and prosecuted.”
