Stephenie Se-Ember Terungwa, a National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) volunteer who was abducted and killed in Abuja, has been laid to rest.

On June 30, the 25-year-old corps member was laid to rest in her village of Mbakumbur, Mav-Ikyov in Benue State’s Ushongo Local Government Area.

After leaving her house with her son to work for Community Development Service (CDS) in April 2022, Stephanie was reported missing.

She was later discovered dead and mangled in the Lokogoma neighborhood of the city two weeks after going missing.

Jennifer Tsembe, 26, Monday Simon (also known as Black), 36, and Solomon Abu, 35, all inhabitants of the FCT’s Oguta Lake Maitama region, were detained as suspects in the slaying.

According to the police, Jennifer and the other suspects planned Stephanie’s murder in order for her to date the victim’s partner, Edward Achadu.
