Keep in mind that Teni got national recognition for her efforts in the music industry on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Along with other music giants including Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, dubbed Burna Boy, and Innocent Idibia, also known as TuBaba, President Muhammad Buhari recognized her as a Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

But after several people alleged that Teni disrespected the president by declining to shake his hand or bow after he awarded her the honor, Teni gained popularity on social media.
