Unfortunately, the game changed dramatically in the second half after Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane were forced to leave the field owing to injuries of varying severity.

Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire, who were intended to keep their guests from scoring, scored own goals in the 84th and injury time, respectively, to end the game in a 2-2 tie.

While Sevilla dominated the game in terms of aggressive football in the return leg at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, Manchester United dominated ball possession.

Sevilla’s offensive style rewarded off in the eighth minute, as Youssef En-Nesyri put the home club ahead. Following that, Loc Badé extended Sevilla’s advantage in the 47th minute.

While Manchester United continued to dominate possession, Sevilla clinched the victory in the 81st minute when Moroccan attacker En-Nesyri scored twice. Manchester United won the game 3-0, ending their Europa League campaign 5-2 on aggregate.
