Giuseppe Marotta, CEO of Inter Milan, has declared that Romelu Lukaku would rejoin Chelsea this summer.

The Belgian striker failed to perform after his £97 million deal to Chelsea in 2021 and was sent on loan to the Serie A team last year.

Lukaku, who was crucial to Inter’s Scudetto victory in the 2020–21 season, has struggled to maintain his top performance at the San Siro.

He will return to Chelsea on June 30 no matter how brilliantly he performs because the loan was only for a season.

“Lukaku is a prime example. To play his best game, Lukaku lacks the necessary level of conditioning.

According to Marotta of Sky Italia, “He’s still not the player we got to see in years past” or at his peak.
