Michael Adebayo Olayinka, a Nigerian singer-songwriter who goes by the stage name Ruger, has donated money and supplies to orphans in Juba, South Sudan.
The artist reportedly donated food items and N740,000 ($1000) to the Juba Orphanage Center during a recent visit.
During a recent trip to South Sudan for a concert organized by Next Level Entertainment, Ruger decided to donate a percentage of the proceeds to support orphaned kids.
Following a news conference, the Jonzing Records signee went to the Nigerian embassy in Juba. He met the ambassador of Nigeria to South Sudan, Hon. Amb. Ibim, there.
Along with the artist, Ambassador Ibim handed the truckload of supplies to the Juba orphanage center.
Ruger tweeted pictures on October 13 with the caption “GOD BLESS SOUTH SUDAN.”
In a recently discovered YouTube video, the kids can be seen dancing joyfully as the DJ plays his hit song, Girlfriend.
