Due to the price of whiskey displayed on their table, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose have received opposing opinions online.
Rotimi Amaechi, the outgoing transportation minister, claims that Wike uses public funds to the tune of N50 million each week to purchase booze.
The outgoing governor of Rivers described his replacement as a drinker who shouldn’t be allowed to waste public funds carelessly.
Amaechi asserted that the amount of money Wike spends on booze over the course of two weeks is nearly equivalent to the amount he spent building a primary school while he served as governor.
In the image that went viral, Wike and Fayose could be seen consuming a beverage that cost roughly five million Naira.
They could afford it, according to some, while others criticized them for the wasteful drink given their financial circumstances.
