Nigerians have reacted to reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, may meet the presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Atiku may meet with Obi and Kwankwaso to discuss forming an alliance against the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Remember that Peter Obi and Kwankwaso were both PDP members before defecting to pursue their presidential ambitions.

It was rumored that Obi’s departure from the PDP would have an impact on the party’s vote in the South, which was the main opposition party base, and that Kwankwaso’s emergence as the NNPP’s candidate would split support in the North, particularly Kano.

Following the development, some Nigerians have taken to social media to express their views regarding the speculated meeting. Some supporters of Kwankwaso and Obi have rejected the alliance while others see it as a way to defeat Tinubu.

Below are some of the reactions.
