According to Sport, Leeds winger Raphinha has told his agency Deco not to pursue talks with Chelsea.
The Brazilian is fervently hoping to switch to Barcelona this summer.
However, Chelsea and Arsenal were given a chance due to the LaLiga’s club’s financial predicament.
The Gunners initially gave the impression that they were in control, but they struggled to reach a price with Leeds, allowing Chelsea to have the jump on them.
Raphinha appeared to be moving to Stamford Bridge after the Blues earlier this week agreed to match Leeds’ asking price and said they would be willing to pay somewhere around £60 million.
The player has instructed Deco to persuade Chelsea to lower their interest, although it seems unlikely that he will stay in the Premier League.
Thomas Tuchel would suffer a serious setback if he is unable to sign Raphinha, especially after Richarlison’s transfer to Tottenham has been officially announced.
Chelsea made an effort to sabotage the Everton forward’s move to Antonio Conte’s team.
