Emeka Akumefule is a 27-year-old Nigerian rapper, singer, text battler, rap battler, and songwriter better known by his stage name Blaqbonez.
Lagos, one of Nigeria’s commercial states, is where I was born on January 29, 1996. Additionally, he has a contract with 100 Crown, a subsidiary of Chocolate City.
Blaqbonez is well-known for his distinctive sense of style and controversy, such as when he once declared himself the Best Rapper In Africa (BRIA).
At the age of 13, Blaqbonez, who was exposed to the Yoruba and Urhobo subcultures in Nigeria, began his musical career.
His foray into music was accidental; he discovered his gift while listening to a radio show with his cousin, and was then challenged by his cousin to create his own lyrics based on the song that was being played on the radio, which he did.
He worked for his career in secret despite not receiving parental support while discovering his talent and enthusiasm.
It is important to remember that Blaqbonez initially competed in Facebook text battles before opting to record his music.
He gained considerable notoriety after winning Terry Tha Rapman’s Zombie challenge, which led to a duet on Terry’s 2012 album “World Domination,” which also featured Olamide, Vector (a rapper), Mode 9, and Spellz.
Five years ago, Blaqbonez collaborated with Terry The Rapman on one of his projects. He also finished as the first runner-up in Vector’s King Kong competition as a rapper, won the Rhythm FM Freestyle Fury, and was named the month’s featured artist on Rhythmfm.
He joined the Soundcity blast cypher and was made the Hennessy vs Class Captain. He also released his third mixtape, “CTAT; Cassette, Tapes, and Tvs,” which has received over 60,000 streams and downloads and follows “Unfinished EP” and “Hip-hop in Blaq.”
