The senior pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has cautioned the Nigerian court not to be compromised in the recent election issues that have been brought before it.

The well-known man of God mentioned an instance in Malawi that was comparable to the alleged manipulation of the presidential election results by employees of the Independent National Election Commission, INEC.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate Bola Tinubu won the recently ended presidential election, which was rejected by the opposition parties, most notably the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the Labour Party.

The ruling party allegedly rigged the election through overvoting, stealing ballot boxes, and other irregularities, according to the opposition parties.

In an effort to get Tinubu’s victory overturned, the two parties had contested the procedure in court.

In a statement he personally signed on Monday in response to the controversy surrounding the election results, Enenche remembered how an opposition party in Malawi was able to regain its mandate through the legal system following the ruling that an incumbent party had stolen the election.

In rendering a decision on the cases already brought by the retaliating political parties, he urged the Nigerian judiciary to act justly.

“The Nigerian judiciary now has the option of either compromising its beliefs or strengthening justice,” he remarked. You can choose to walk the route of integrity and honor or to err on the side of compromise and notoriety.

“We trust the judiciary will act correctly. It is time to save Nigeria and put her on a path toward electoral justice, peace, and development.

“Like Malawi, Nigeria now has a golden opportunity to carve its name in gold by guaranteeing that democracy remains the government of the people, by the people, and for the people, and not an article up for sale to the highest bidder,” the Nigerian judiciary said.
