President Buhari commemorates Mama Osinbajo’s 90th birthday

President Muhammadu Buhari congratulates the Osinbajo family on the 90th birthday of their matriarch, Mama Olubisi, today.

The President praised the celebrant in a letter he personally signed for providing the country with brilliant kids such as Vice President ‘Yemi Osinbajo and his other siblings.

“It brings me tremendous joy to felicitate with our dear Mama Olubisi Osinbajo, as she reaches 90, entering the uncommon ranks of a nonagenarian,” the president stated in a letter shared by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media and Publicity).

“It is nothing but the sheer grace of God that spares a person to live up to 90, and we are thankful to the Almighty God that Mama has not only reached the milestone, she’s doing it in sound mind, and in good health, surrounded by accomplished offspring and doting family members.

“On behalf of myself, my family, and Nigerians, we rejoice with Mama, and wish her continuing grace and joy in the Lord, all the days of her life. Amen.

“I am particularly glad that the matriarch of the Osinbajo Family had felt it worthy to establish the Olubisi Osinbajo Foundation, which cares for the well-being of widows and families of clerics. It is an endeavor that I propose to other endowed persons in our society since it has great rewards not only now, but also in the future.

“Thank you, Mama, for bestowing upon Nigeria the gift of your son and our Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, and his other illustrious siblings.

“Please accept my sincere congratulations. “Congratulations on your 90th birthday.”
