The Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) has started a week-long capacity-building training for 2,000 Police personnel drawn from various Police Commands & formations across the country in advance of the elections in 2023 as part of its endeavor to ensure free, fair, and credible elections.

This was stated in a statement that Muhammad A. Lawal, the NPTF’s Head of Press and Public Affairs Unit, signed yesterday.

The capacity building training titled “The Role of the Nigeria Police Force In Credible Elections; Before, During and After” will provide the policing institutions with up-to-date information on managing national elections and get NPF personnel ready to fulfill their constitutional duty to ensure credible national elections.
