Mr. P, also referred to as Peter Okoye, is one half of the musical duo Psquare. He has detained over 17 “yahoo boys,” or online con artists, who defrauded others by posing as him.
The talented artist posted the names of the police suspects along with a statement that they will all be charged in court on his Facebook page.
The spokesperson for the lottery company Zoom, Mr. P, claimed that scammers were abusing the platform to deceive people who claimed to be the winners of his prizes. He made it clear that his followers should be cautious.
He was calm;
“MY DEAR PEOPLE! MOST ESPECIALLY THOSE ON FACEBOOK! TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT SOME OF THE FRAUDSTERS YOU ARE INDIRECTLY PAYING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY INTO THE BANK ACCOUNT THEY CREATED AS PETER OKOYE ALL IN THE NAME OF “ZOOM GIVEAWAY”!
OVER 17 OF THEM HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND INTERROGATED WITH FULL EVIDENCE! THEY ALL CONFESSED AND HAVE BEEN CHARGED TO COURT! AND THEY SINCE CONFESSED IN COURT THAT THERE ARE STILL OVER 100S OF THEM OUT THERE! THIS IS ANOTHER STORY FOR ANOTHER DAY! HAPPY WEEKEND”
