“Peter Obi remains the only presidential candidate” – Labour Party reacts to rumours of internal power tussle
The Labour Party has named Peter Obi as the party’s sole presidential candidate.
This comes amid allegations that a faction within the party chose Ambassador Jude Ezenwafor as their flagbearer, which appeared to be a hindrance to Peter Obi’s success.
Many people have responded differently to the claim, but the party has said on its official Facebook page that Peter Obi is the only presidential candidate in the party.
It went on to say that the rumors of an internal power struggle were spread by miscreants in order to create distractions.
The post reads:
“MR. PETER OBI REMAINS THE ONLY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF LABOUR PARTY NIGERIA , ANY RUMORS SAYING OTHERWISE IS BEING SPONSORED BY MISCHIEF MAKERS TO CAUSE DISTRACTIONS BUT WE REFUSE TO BE DISTRACTED.”
