Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will deliver a live broadcast address to Nigerians on Sunday at 7:00 a.m.
Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information, confirmed this in a statement issued on Thursday.
On June 12th, 2022, the President’s address will be centered on the commemoration of Democracy Day.
According to the minister, Nigerians will commemorate Democracy Day for the fourth time on June 12th this year.
In June 2018, President Buhari directed that Nigeria’s Democracy Day, which was formerly celebrated on May 29, be moved to June 12 to honor Moshood Abiola, the winner of the 1993 presidential election.
