Reno Omokri, an activist, has praised the Labour Party and Peter Obi, its presidential candidate, for opening the door for Donatus Mathew, an Okada rider, to win election as the representative of the Kaura Federal district in Southern Kaduna.

Remember that the Labour Party candidate won the election with 10,466 votes, defeating the incumbent All Progressives Congress, APC, which received 9,828.

Omokri, a fervent supporter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate in the just completed election, Atiku Abubakar, responded to the situation by describing Mathew’s election as true democracy.

Omokri expressed hope that the victory of the LP candidate in the poll would bring in more followers for the party in the north in a post on his official Facebook page.

Donatus Mathew, an Okada rider, was elected to the Kaduna House of Representatives under the Labour Party, the author stated. This is the epitome of democracy. And I appreciate Peter Obi and the Labour Party for this.

“Both of them have contributed greatly to strengthening our democracy. In the year 2923, I never imagined that this would occur in Nigeria. Maybe I saw it happening in the future. just not right now.

If Labour keeps acting in this manner, Nigeria will become a more egalitarian nation.

“This news will increase support for Labour in Kano, the epicenter of Northern egalitarianism, the utopian ideal that the late Aminu Kanu tried to create with the Talakawa through the Northern Elements Progressive Union and later his Peoples Redemption Party,” said a statement from the Peoples Redemption Party.
