Senator Shehu Sani, a social critic and former legislator, has maintained that the Supreme Court’s decision over the old Naira notes has not put an end to Nigerians’ suffering.

As for unleashing the “beast of vote buying,” the former lawmaker added that it would be preferable.

Sani posted on Friday using his verified Twitter account, expressing himself.

Remember that the Supreme Court recently declared the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Naira redesign policy invalid and directed the top bank to permit the use of older Naira notes.

The decision was made as Nigerians bemoaned the hardships brought on by the strategy.

Sani, in contrast, claimed that the court ruling would unleash vote buying in the upcoming gubernatorial race rather than putting an end to the misery.

According to what he stated, “The judgement on the old Naira notes has not, as claimed, put an end to the pain of the common man waiting in line; nevertheless, it will free and uncage the vote-buying monster for the governorship race.”
