For the first time since the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary poll on Tuesday, Rochas Okorocha, a former governor and senator representing Imo West Senatorial District has spoken.

Some feared that if he didn’t obtain the ticket, the former governor of Imo State might abandon the party.

In a statement to the media on Friday, Okorocha’s Special Adviser (Media), Sam Onwuemeodo, stated his support for Asiwaju as he runs for President of the APC in the 2023 election.

“I congratulate all those who took part in the APC presidential primary,” Okorocha said.

“I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his victory in the Presidential Primary Election of the All Progressives Congress, APC,” Okorocha said.

Almost 2,000 accredited delegates voted for the ruling party’s ticket bearer for the 2023 general election, as XCLUSIVEPOP previously reported.

Despite a long legal battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged fraud, Imo State’s former governor was on the ballot.
