Odion Ighalo captures his 18th league crown.

Odion Ighalo, a striker for the Super Eagles, and Al Hilal have won the Saudi Pro League championship for 2021–2022.

He finished the season with the most goals scored in the league, thus this is significant.

Ighalo scored twice as Al-Hilal defeated already-relegated Al-Faisaly 2-1 on Monday night at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh.

The former Manchester United striker scored twice, sending the home crowd into a frenzy, in the seventh and 64th minutes.

The victory allowed the host team, who was being closely pursued by bitter rivals Al-Ittihad, to win its 18th league championship.

Ighalo unexpectedly left Al-Shabab, another Saudi Pro League team, and joined Al-Hilal in January 2022.

The striker from Ajegunle participated in 31 games in the Saudi league and scored 24 goals.

His total comes from his time with Al-Shabab, where he played 18 games and registered 12 goals and 1 assist.

The former Watford striker had 13 appearances with Al-Hilal, where he scored 12 goals and added three assists.

Ighalo scored once in the Club World Cup and twice in the AFC Champions League throughout the course of four games.
