On Tuesday, Chief Mike Ozekhome, a senior Nigerian attorney, encouraged President Muhammadu Buhari to take into account a political resolution to the treasonable felony case brought against Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

Following the Federal High Court in Abuja’s denial of his client’s request for a new bail, Ozekhome made this information known while speaking to journalists.

Recall that Justice Nyako postponed the pro-Biafra activist’s case to November 14, 2022, pending the Appeal Court’s ruling.

This comes after the Biafra agitator submitted a new application to be released on bail until the federal government’s treasonable felony charge against him is decided, but the case was dismissed when it came up for hearing.

No one is advising you to interfere with legal proceedings, but you can still intervene in this situation, the lawyer added in his humbling advice to the man. Even though I don’t believe in politics, this issue may have a political resolution.

Let Nnamdi Kanu leave as a free man, I say to the President as he ends up his term with only 11 months left.

He claimed that Kanu is not the subject of any federal investigation.

“You are accusing someone of instigating people; you stated he made a radio broadcast, but you didn’t tell us from where he made the radio broadcast. Was it in the afterlife?

“We have observed your witness line; however, we did not observe 1,000 Nigerians coming up to present testimony that they engaged in acts of violence as a result of Nnamdi Kanu’s broadcast.

So, Mr. President, a political solution is still possible.

“Nnamdi Kanu has evolved into a representation of the plight of the Igbo man.

He claimed that this was because the Nigerian government did not uphold true federalism and social fairness.
