Christopher Nkunku of RB Leipzig has confessed he is flattered by reports connecting him with a summer move to Chelsea or Manchester United.

Nkunku has been extensively linked with a move to the Premier League giants after resuming his career in the Bundesliga after being declared surplus to requirements by Paris Saint-Germain.

Last season, the 24-year-old scored an incredible 35 goals in all competitions for Leipzig, and he has now been called up to Didier Deschamps’ France squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022.

Nkunku stated he has a huge decision to make this summer ahead of France’s Nations League encounter against Croatia on Monday, despite attention from Chelsea and Manchester United.

According to him, the World Cup in Qatar in November would have a big influence on his decision.

“It’s no secret that I’m being pursued by a number of clubs. Yes, it is enticing. But it’s also flattering to know that a club like Leipzig is doing all in its power to keep me,” Nkunku told Telefoot.

“We’ll have to think hard and make a solid judgment here.” The World Cup is approaching, and this is an important factor to consider.

“As I already stated, all you have to do now is think it through.”
