Nigerians respond to the appearance of Funke Akindele’s campaign poster for deputy governor of Lagos in 2023
There is a suggestion that in 2023, Nollywood actress and content producer Funke Akindele might get involved in politics in Lagos.
According to an internet campaign poster, Abdul-Azeez Olajide of the People’s Democratic Party may consider Funke Akindele as his running mate for governor.
This comes after Tonto Dikeh, the Deputy Governorship candidate for the Africa Democratic Congress in Rivers State, made a plea for more women to participate in politics a few days prior.
The campaign post generated mixed reactions from Nigerians. While some expressed excitement others referred to it as a joke.
