Shehu claims that while in Portugal, President Buhari will meet with his counterpart in an official capacity, receive the nation’s highest honor, and be given the “Great Collar of the Order of Prince Henry.”

The two Presidents are anticipated to preside over an expanded bilateral meeting and participate in the signing of a few agreements pertaining to shared concerns.

The leader of Nigeria is also anticipated to interact with the Nigerian population in Portugal about issues that concern them and developments back home.

Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture; Adeniyi Adebayo, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment; Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sports; and Isa Pantami, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, will accompany the President.

Other members of his entourage include Maj-Gen Babagana Monguno (retired), Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Amb. Ahmed Rufa’i Abubakar, and Honorable Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).

On Saturday, July 2, Buhari is anticipated to return to Nigeria.
