Jose Enrique, a former Liverpool defender, asserted that Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, will be fired before Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea.
As you may recall, Ten Hag was appointed manager of Man United last summer, and he led the team to their first major trophy in six years by winning the Carabao Cup.
In order to qualify for the UEFA Champions League this season, the former Ajax coach also guided Man United to the FA Cup final and back into the top four of the Premier League.
Ten Hag, though, has already been under some early pressure this season after Man United dropped two of their first four Premier League games, to Arsenal and Tottenham, respectively.
The Dutchman has also come under fire for actions off the field, such as his most recent public argument with winger Jadon Sancho.
Erik ten Hag’s time at Manchester United won’t end well, according to Enrique, who spoke to Grosvenor Sport.
“I admired the way he handled things last season, but I don’t understand why he did what he did this season with the Jadon Sancho problem, turning the entire dressing room against him.
Ten Hag won’t be fired this year, but in the future, he’ll be fired before Chelsea’s Mauricio Pochettino, in my opinion.
