“My country has no regard for human life,” says Nigerian musician Yemi Alade

Yemi Alade, a prominent phenomenal vocalist, has spoken up about the country’s disregard for human lives.

On Tuesday morning, July 19, Yemi Alade posted on her verified Twitter account claiming her country, Nigeria, places no value on the lives of its inhabitants.

She decried the scarcity of high-quality, low-cost medical care. Many Nigerians, she claims, have underlying ailments and conditions that manifest when they are stressed.

“WHAT IS THE VALUE OF HUMAN LIFE IN YOUR COUNTRY?” MINE IS NIL. I WISH NIGERIA HAD BETTER AND MORE AFFORDABLE MEDICAL CARE! SHE WROTE, “SO MANY PEOPLE WALKING AROUND WITH UNDERLYING DISEASES AND CONDITIONS THAT EVENTUALLY MANIFEST UNDER STRESS.”
