Young South African amapiano musician Musa Keys is renowned for his sumptuous melodies and subtly rhythmic synths. The multi-hit track producer became the most well-known person in South Africa thanks to his passion for music, which he discovered at the age of 13 when he began playing the piano at church.

Musa Appreciate Makamu was raised in Polokwane and began playing music as a young child. He was born in Giyani, which is in the northeastern region of Limpopo Province. He has always been a creative child who has wanted to do the things he appreciates the most from a young age.

He enrolled at Damelin to study sound engineering but left after his first year, saying he had already learned everything he needed to know.

The self-described Tsonga Michael Jackson rapidly became recognized as one of the most enduring figures in the field. Despite the fact that he began by making trap music, Musa Keys claims that his preferred genre “choosed” him. He is renowned for his infectious melodies on popular songs including “Hey Wena” from 2019, “Samarian Boy” from 2020, which peaked at number one on MTV Base and throughout South Africa for over three months, and “Vula Mlomo” from 2021, which includes amapiano giants Sir Trill and Nobantu Vilakazi.

Musa Keys owns and founded his own record label, Keys Recordings, through which he distributes the music he creates, produces, and records. He hopes that the popularity of his music will have a long-lasting impact on the amapiano genre and South African music in general.
