Early Life

Master KG was conceived on January 31st, 1996. He was born in the South African city of Tzaneen.

The well-known artist grew up in a South African village in the Limpopo province.

His uncle’s gift of a computer to him had a significant impact on him. At the tender age of thirteen, he began using a computer to make musical rhythms.

As a young youngster, he pretended to be ill in order to remain home and make beats instead of going to school.

In Tzaneen, South Africa, Master KG began and finished his basic and secondary studies.

From Calais Secondary School in Maruleng Rural, Limpopo, he received his diploma in 2015.

Career

When Master KG and DJ Maebela started working together, his musical career changed. They repeatedly worked on their skills using the FL Studios music beat making software. 2016 saw the release of Situation, his debut song.

The South African music record label Open Mic Productions promptly signed him after hearing his debut tune. In 2018, he released his debut album, Skeleton Move, to positive reviews from South Africans. The radio station Thobela FM named Skeleton Move, a song with Zanda Zakuza, as their song of the year.

He sings in his native Khelobedu and has a distinctive musical style. In addition to South Africa, he has performed in several other African nations, including Zambia. He has worked with a number of South African musicians, most recently Burna Boy and Nomcebo Zikode on the Jerusalema version.
