As his side prepares to go to Liverpool on Sunday, Erik ten Hag has provided a fresh update on the health of Jadon Sancho and Luke Shaw.
The two played a part in the victory over Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final. Yet, neither player was present in Wednesday’s 3-1 Emirates FA Cup triumph over West Ham United at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag said that Luke had a minor injury prior to that game, while Jadon was absent due to illness.
The boss is hopeful that the England internationals will just miss one game and will be available for the match against the Merseysiders.
“I think we will get guys returning,” Erik told journalists on Thursday. Luke Shaw wasn’t available yesterday, so his return is anticipated.
Sancho was ill, but we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out; however, he might also be available, the man stated.
Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen are still frequently absent.
