Leading Nigerian musician Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus (born May 21, 1997) has captured the hearts of millions of Afrobeats fans with his Afropop and R&B sounds.

Career

Joeboy was a student at the University of Lagos, where the campus’s vibrant entertainment scene was at its center. He kept his talent a secret and didn’t give up on his aspiration to become a famous musician. As a result, he was frequently asked to participate in performances at plays, concerts, and other campus-hosted events. As a result of his strong performance and the fact that many Unilag students began to enjoy his music, he was able to quickly gain a following.

Fááji did well in the market, and it introduced Joeboy to a larger audience and set the pace for his record deal with Banku Records. As a signed artist, Joeboy‘s first single was Baby, released on the 1st Of March 2019. The single was a huge success, surpassing the milestones attained by Fááji. That same year the song garnered over 20 million streams on YouTube and Spotify.

On YouTube, a visualizer music video for the song Baby was published, and by the end of the year, it had received over 31 million views.

Joeboy released the song “Beginning” in order to keep up with his rising popularity. Beginning’s visualizer music video has received more than 23 million YouTube views. The song was created by Killertunes and released on August 15th, 2019.
