Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, or Iyanya, was born on October 31, 1986. Iyanya is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and recording artist who sings in both English and Efik. Iyanya is from Calabar in Nigeria’s Cross River state. His parents both died in 2008, which is too late. His mother was a headmistress when she was alive, and his father was a forester.
Iyanya’s musical career began in his local church, where he was the choirmaster at the children’s section when he was just 5 years old, as it does for many other celebrities around the world.
