“It’s no surprise he’s giving them high blood pressure” – Reactions as Burna Boy surpasses Davido and Wizkid with his latest achievement

Damini Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy, became the first Nigerian music artist to deliver a sold-out concert in New York’s Madison Square Garden, grossing over N3 billion in ticket sales alone.

According to some social media users, this achievement has caused anxiety for Wizkid, Davido, and other musicians.

Tickets varied in price from $80 to $2,125, with an average of $350, which when multiplied by the arena’s entire available capacity of 20,789 equals $7,276,150, or approximately N3,022,003,379.50 at the current exchange rate of N415.33.

The historic two-hour concert, titled “One Night in Space,” was also streamed on YouTube and drew over 81,000 viewers from Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.

Burna Boy has joined the ranks of performers who have sold out the world’s most famous arena, including Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Adele, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, and Mariah Carey.

Many said that Burna Boy is currently causing high blood pressure in other Nigerian artists.

“Odoguw dey gives dem hypertension,” wrote kingranking007.

“Very well deserved,” tbellz07 wrote. He has set a wonderful example of how a concert should be. “It’s all about international standards.”

“No wonder he didn’t invite any artist because he didn’t win a share percentage or require middleman controversy,” private afa_ wrote.
