“Isn’t he the same age as the lady?” -Reactions as Tinubu pays a visit to an elderly woman who made a “deep sacrifice” for him during the APC primaries
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor, paid a surprise visit to an elderly woman from Ilorin, Alhaja Shifau Ayinla, who sacrificed her sleep all night for him at the All Progressives Congress’ presidential primary special convention held in Eagle Square, Abuja.
Shifau Ayinla reportedly stayed up all night watching and praying for Bola Tinubu to win the APC special convention.
Tinubu defeated his closest challengers, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi (316) and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, in the primary election with 1271 votes (235).
The APC national head paid her a visit to express his gratitude, eliciting mixed comments on social media.
“No insult to mama, she appears innocent, but that prayer, by God’s Grace, will not work for the presidential election,” one jaci maria12 said.
